My new 89 Mustang GT

so i know i posted here about an accident where i was rear ended. well a few days ago i rear ended someone and there was a bit of damage. well i got 1k for the rear and 2k for the front from insurance. so hopefully this thread gets a little more interesting. but as usual here are some pics.

heres the front damage. needed new bumper cover headlights and hood.


heres the sweet box i received containing the front bumper cover a rear cobra bumper cover brand new headlights and full weatherstripping.



the cobra bumper cover and my new tails... svos i got from mustangpete.



only managed to get the tails in and a little of the weather stripping but will post more pics as things are painted and repaired. eventually im going to run an lx style exhaust. which is why i got the cobra bumper... but thinking of getting just the tips for now till i can afford a cat back.

still trying to get a hood. a member offered me a stock hood which i am trying to get but am on the market for anything with a 1.5in - 3in cowl. 3in is pushin it a little for me but ive been having trouble finding anything in those sizes.

I have my weld wheels on the front but the rears are still turbines till i can get tires for my welds. hopefully that will be shortly.

got the welds on the rear the other day with new tires. ordering some lx tips to hold me over till i can get a full cat back. and the cars going to the shop to get the front end fixed and parts sprayed on tuesday or wednesday. pics will be up as soon as possible. hopefully doing some suspension stuff soon. any suggestions would be nice.

bought it stock for 3700.

absolutely. and ya i think they hate me a little. the rear wasnt my fault but the front was. i need a brake upgrade badly. but the money for upgrades has been good. the bumper covers are being sprayed as we speak and the buckle in the frame should be getting fixed as soon as i get the new hood hinges i ordered.

So shes starting to take shape again. i got both bumper covers painted and the rear cobra bumper cover was installed. i have a set of lx tailpipes ready to go on asap. i didnt install the front bumper cover because it didnt make sense to put a beautiful painted bumper cover on before the buckle in my frame is fixed. But here are the pics. i got the rear wheels new rubber so the welds are on now too.

ya thanks. things are going to slow down i guess. i am back at school. still have some money left over but far less time. any gt looks so much better with the cobra rear bumper.
