My new Bilsteins

Well, I just got my new Bilsteins installed yesterday on my 95GTS. I have been running the Eibach Pro Kit with MM Plates for the last 5 years with the factory struts/shocks. The ride quality has gotten much better, but the one negative thing I did notice, was that my overall ride height has now increased by over 1/2" all the way around. Is this normal when going from worn out stock struts/shocks to brand new Bilsteins? Is there a break-in period where the Bilsteins will settle and make the car lower than it already is? I've probably put 25 miles on them so far.

When I got my new Bilsteins I installed them with the rest of my suspension, so I couldn't say what effect they had compared to the stock springs. Although, my with everything including the Bilsteins installed, my car dropped exactly as much as it was supposed to. I wouldn't thinl they should make a difference and their shouldn't be any break in period. Maybe you stockers were really shot....On the plus side they are great shocks and struts, I love mine!

Yep. It's a sign of how shot your original dampers were. The new ones have decent rebound and are pushing up a bit, giving you that added ride height. I wouldn't expect them to settle more than 1/4" if at all.

When I installed my Bils (on the stock suspension), the ride height didn't change any, even after several hundred miles.

I appreciate the input, I was a little worried at first. I put another 35 miles on them today and the ride continues to be great. I just wish it sat a little lower, oh well... I am happy with the purchase.
