My New Clutch Creeks, Why?

Yeah.. I think there is probably something you can do if it's what I think it is. And that is: the spring for the clutch cable. I won't rule out that some other part might be squeeking but one of the easiest things to try is dropping a mat down onto your driver's side floor and spraying the crap out of the clutch pedal spring with WD-40 and see if it goes away. If so, problem solved. If not, then start looking at quadrant, cable, or fork. I'll bet a quarter that it's the spring though.

yeah, could just be the clutch pedal shaft that it rides on. could also be misalignment with the cable and quadrant.

Was the throw-out bearing retainer greased?
