what did the insurance say..? what did they tell you a value for loss was?

you got someone from optima coming to look at it too.. wow i think they will say it was faulty wiring and it backcharged the battery and blew that missing cell up.

Damn, sorry to hear about that. I hope they at least let you buy the car back with a salvaged title so you can at least part it out if needed. Come to akron, ill buy you a beer or 3.

I would too. I know exactly how you feel. I had a '90 LX 5.0 that was stolen once. I about died.

It was never found. At least you'll have the option to buy it back, right?

I don't know what the value to loss total is yet. I just finished emailing the adjuster the rest of the receipts for work to the car I got from the previous owner.
I can buy the car back. I just don't know for how much yet. Optima can't say it was the wiring. There is enough of it left to tell that it wasn't the cause of the fire. There is also enough left of the battery to tell it was the orign of the fire. That is why the battery company has been so insistant on trying to get me to give them the battery. Which isn't going to happen

Oh, and I could use 3 beers right now.......or 5...or 10 Whatever.
