with it being salvaged there really no sense in putting any more cash into it...i would get as much money as you can out of it and build your own on a fresh platform
If it is salvaged, why would there be no sense in putting any money into it? I don't have any plans to ever sell it. The body is in great condition. There is NO rust or compound on the body anywhere. All the lines are straight. EVERYTHING in that car was brand new. I would have to replace the wiring, gasket, hosing and things like that, and have it repainted. The inspector said the engine wasn't damaged at all. I just need to clean the **** out of it. Oh yeah, the brand new freakin' mass air was destroyed.
If the fire was enough to melt the windshield glass, i would tear that block down to bare bones and start over.
Waterpump internal seals = gone
Valve Stem Seals = gone
Etc etc etc...
and youll probably have electrical problems till the day you die. not trying to be a kill joy, but i would seriously rethink trying to fix that car. It can be done, but do you have the time / patience / knowledge to do it all? just things to ask yourself.
No, I want everyone's opinions. Most people just say to let them crush it into a cube and move on to the next car. You guys love the Mustang, so I know your opinions will be honest. I wouldn't do any of the electical work. I have a guy who actually said he would totally restore the car for me. Let me know if you guys think I should just scrap the car and have it cubed and move on.
Is a black dash and carpet that uncommon?
