Im sure there are not many people who like classic VW's on here, but I will post this up anyway...

I got my old daily driver back from my dad. I sold this car to him a couple of years ago, but always wanted it back. He was talking about getting rid of it lately & there was no way I would let 1 this clean slip away...

Its an 86 VW Jetta GLI. For a 22 year old car, its in damn good shape... All original interior, in near immaculate condition, original motor, & I think 1 repaint. I love the BBS wheels & the stance too. I previously lowered it on an H&R cup kit (2 inch drop)....

BTW, the 84 Rabbit GTI is up for sale now....

VR6 swap!!!!! My buddies brother had one in that body style and had the next generation interior in it with leather with a VR6. Its currently being turned into a 10 second car by some VW genius or something. I love old VW's.

Pretty nice! That's about the same condition my Merkur is in but your seats are much nicer than mine (and mine are actually made by Recaro, yours have better side bolsters).

stykthyn

I want to measure mine. It doesn't look that tall.

My dad was a VW mechanic, so we have had just about every VW under the sun over the years (besides a VW thing)... Buses, bugs, rabbits, scirocco's, Golf's, vanagons, jettas, u name it... I love Vdubs though....

Very nice.

My mom had a 78 Rabbit that I though would be my first car, but gave it to my sister who killed it.

Then she had an 86 Jetta, not a GLI but not the base either. I learned to drive a standard on it. I really wished my parents would have kept that car instead of the 87 Escort with dealer installed XR-T graphics since it was faster.

Thanks... I have been around so many VW's since my dad was a VW tech, I lost count... We had a few rabbits, vanagons, buses, & Jetta's back in the day...

I would still like a 78 Rabbit with euro headlight conversion and a current 2.0T swap or a 69 type III fasty turbo w/ porsche 5 spd in my garage.

I really need to invest in a shop building.

Not really my thing, but very clean cars nonetheless! Looks like your family takes great care of their cars.
