I am now back into Stangs after 5 years of being without one. This is my 5th mustang and 4th classic. I have owned 2 '67 coupes, a 66 convertible, and an '89 convertible, before this one.
This little beauty is a '66 vinyl hardtop with highback seats from a '69, and a longblock supposedly from a mid '90's stang. I need to locate the block and head id numbers to identify them. The engine has mostly stock components from 66 (exhaust manifolds, cast iron intake, etc,) but it has an edelbrock 600 carb. These stock components will be changed in the not too distant future.
It runs great but I will always be in search of more power and ways to make it quicker because it will see some track time.
I look forward to learning from others and sharing my knowledge to this
board.

Thanks for the compliments! I was really impressed with the paint job myself. It was done 2 years ago. I didn't break the bank buying the car ($4000) so I have some mod money. The first fun mod I feel it needs is a set of lower gears. I am going with 3:55's.
On my '89 Mustang I went from 2.73's to 4:10's with the AOD and it felt like a totally different breed of horse. I believe it is the best mod for $ that can be done.
