i know you guys will give me the right answer, the hanger on the transmember has pushed out of the hole the hangers in and its rattling around sometimes.. should i get a bbk catted h pipe? i dont wanna worry about inspections and all that so im gonna stay catted, and i like the way my car sounds now with 3 chamber flows and the stock one, so will a bbk shorty header catted h bolt right up to stock headers?

yes any h pipe will bolt right up in place to the headers, theyre might be some issue with the catback cause every exhasut is a little bit different in measurments.
but i'm not sure if its the bbk that is constantly being bashed for a really low (no ground clearance)fit, someone else will chime in and double check.

i'd pass on the bbk, i put one on my old lx, fit like crap, and hung a bit low to boot. im running a mac catted h on my gt, MUCH easier to install (three pieces) and i've never had it rub like the bbk did, and this is without any h-pipe hangers at all (t5 swap after the initial install)

5.0 resto sells mac, as does mustangs unlimited. i dont see the catted version on 5.0's sit right now though, weird. and actually, looking a bit more, i dont see them on mac's site either, so they may be discontinued. the offroad's are still there though, hmmm........

Keep your catted H-pipe for inspection purposes but the other 364 days you can just run a O/R H-pipe for any other reason to get one in on those who don't want us to have cars like ours.

Might as well look on craigslist or ebay or just ask around and put another stocker on if you are going to do that. Most people who get aftermarket catbacks don't seem to be too happy with them.

Now, if I were you I would go ahead and get some LTs but that will be more work emmsisons time.
