So I just got done swapping a cam in my car and Im in my parents neighborhood going up the hill (babying it) and some old bag steps out in the middle of the road and yells "SLOW DOWN A**HOLE!" So I stop and say "slow down? You mean quit revving it?" (Im driving at like 10 miles an hour and I did a couple of maybe 2000rpm revs coasting noless)

She said "this aint no drag strip!" and I said, "This is just cause my car is noisy" she said "No! My car is noisy too!" (Cadillac lol) She adds "Theres a camera on the side of my house watching you"

Im like "Lady, go inside and watch Golden Girls or something and mind your own business"

I had half a mind to leave a 20 foot black mark on the street in front of her house but didnt

Last time that happened to me, I was going about 15 in a 25. I just pushed the clutch in, brought the revs up, and dry hopped it a little. She STFU in a hurry then!

I told her "Wow you got me on camera sitting still!" busted!

I could have jumped out of my car and jogged quicker than I was going. I bet I could have been in a Ranger or something, going twice what I was going and nothing would have been said

Lay some rubber and ask her for a copy of the tape.

I remember when my buddy had his yellow 99GT we would leave the high school parking lot everyday together, and we were pretty well known around town by cops. We pulled up to a school zone where an elementary and middle school are right next to each other so traffic is pretty bad. We pulled up right to were the schools get out and had to stop cause of traffic. We stopped right in front of two cops standing in the middle of a median directing traffic. As we stop, one of the cops sarcastically says to the other "look, those are race cars". As I put it in 1st and started to roll away I said, "Yea, they are pretty fast". The one who said it looked dumbfounded that I had heard him, and the other one yells "SLOW DOWN" while I was probably going 5mph, I was just cracking up at them.

here's what you do: Wake up at like 0530. Get in your pony drive to her house, stop, and rev until you see a light in her house turn on. When the light turn on light em up and leave some rubber. Then proceed home and go to sleep.

There is always one in the neighborhood.

Had a 69', neighbor always called the cops,
One winter day, they came with a Decibel meter,
They came to tell me, the scraping of the ice on the window was louder then the car idleing

They had a cop posted at my house for a couple weeks. The Sargent even helped me adjust the carb one day, hehe
They REALLY wanted to bust that car. I did get a couple tickets in town, one for a loud muffler, and one for a "jack rabbit start", but they never could get me for a nusance and impound it like they wanted.

Rev it up, down shift hard, or what ever, its much more fun, anoying them, with out giving them any ammo (like a tape that can be used against you).

I remember years ago, sometime in my early-20's being a passenger in my buddies El Camino (yeah, I know). It had super low gearing and he was running around in 1st gear to show me how the engine sounded. Not speeding at all mind you, just running around in 1st, burping the throttle every once and a while.

Just as we were about to round the corner to my street, some old man (typical Bermuda shorts, sock and sandals in his mid-70's) came flying out of his driveway shaking a pipe wrench at us. He jumps in front of my friends car almost completely out of breath and say's "just what do you think you're doing?" My friend replied with "minding my own business, how about you?" the old man then says "This is a residential area and I don't like the way you're driving....if I see you do it again, I'm going to rearrange both you and your windshield!"

My friend (not one to take **** at 6' 4" and 230lbs) then very slowly and calmly turns off his ignition, removes his seatbelt and in a very slow, controlled voice says to the guy "If you don't loosen your grip on that pipe wrench right now and turn around and walk back into your house, I’m going to kill you.....likely by reaching through this window and snapping your neck!" The guy with a shocked expression stares at him for a second and then leaves in a huff. I then say to my friend...."kinda harsh, no?" and he just said.....you gotta put these old *******s in their place! You and I both know were weren't doing anything wrong, but these old ****ers are always looking for something to bitch at and for some reason think we (the younger generation) seem to owe them something!"

Needless to say, about an hour and a half later, I had the police show up in my back yard with some questions for my buddy. He explained to the officers how the man was wielding a pipe wrench when he spoke to us (a fact the guy conveniently left out when he made the complaint) and that he felt threatened by him and only responded in kind. They basically said to ignore the old coot and make sure to keep his speed down in the neighbourhood from then on. In any case, it was still pretty embarrassing having the whole street staring down at your house as you're being questioned by the police.

hehehe. Yeah the lady down my street always likes yelling at me to slow down. I always do about 10-15mph down my street so I am not speeding. She is a rather beastly woman. One day she came out in the middle of the street and started telling me she was placing me under citizens arrest for speeding. I laughed and asked her how fast I was going. Obviously she didn't have a radar gun so she looked at me with the dumbest looking expression ever. I said f it and started the car and drove home. Well sure as hell 15 minutes later Johnny Law was knocking at my door. He was needless to say a pretty cool cop. All he basically said take another route home so this lady wouldn't yell. I still drive by her house except now I give her a few good morning revs at 0530 when I go to work. One day she'll be on Youtube

Two days after I got my first car I was taking my friends for rides down my street. I wasnt driving all that fast, not any faster than what my other neighbors drive, but i was getting used to the clutch if you know what I mean. I was actually pulling out of my driveway about to take another friend for a ride and a cop stops in front of my house and gets out. He just said that there were complaints of people driving fast and to not let it happen again. I thought my ass was gettin a ticket two days after I got my first car haha.
