since this thread has become story time i will tell you a little story about something that happened to me two nights ago. we just finished up putting a head gasket on my cousins 77 ford f100 (300 inline 6) it was about 9:30 as we let it sit there and idle (full brand new stock style exhaust) as i go to back my car out of the driveway the cops in black cars with no headlights on run up and almost hit me (i live in a cull-de-sac).
they were like "we got a call about cars running in the street!" i calmly asked... isn't that where cars are supposed to run?. he said you were racing this car around the neighborhood i know cars and this one is warm (as i pop the hood and grab the header bear handed). anyway the cops left as i was in my driveway and there was nothing they could do because well i had done nothing. the guy across the street comes out of his house and says "that will teach you to work on your car in this neighborhood" and im sorry guys i know you are all cool headed but well im not i went inside and got my brother (96 z28 lt's cam lt4 heads and intake) and we commenced in drifting the cull-de-sac. then we got in my ls and drove off casually as the cops arrived. last night my other neighbors came over to my house heard the story and we all went and had a few beers... fail HOA
