Faceplated tranny's are basically the balls, it should be a man law to at least drive a car with one before you die.

Its a sickness. It really is. I just bought a set of seats for the car and the dash is out, its getting a new heater core and the 8pt is gonna turn into a 12pt
I was just reading through your thread and noticed your times. I dont get to the track very often ( maybe 15 passes in 10,000 miles ) but my highest 1/8 mph is 91 and my 1/4 is almost 120. In your experience when I get my 1/8 to where it should be mph will that carry over to the 1/4. I think the car should trap 125 because i cant go WOT till 3rd and thats shifting out of 2nd at 5500 instead of 6500 or else it spins half way through 3rd. I had 1 pass that was barely 90 mph in the 1/8 but still trapped 119.1/8th mile was 98.13mph, 1/4 was 123.97. 60' was 1.620, this was on the 11.13 pass.
Thats kind of a hard question to answer, but to be honest, i dont see the car picking up that much MPH without some changes. If you look at the pic of my slips from th 10 second passes the car was still 98mph in the eigth and the 60 foot was almost .2 seconds faster. In my expierience, the MPH didnt vary much whether it hooked or spun. There are people that also think that spinning will make the car trap higher MPH.
Whats ur suspension setup?
I was just curious as to what your experience was, there is a huge thread on the corral and this guy GilroyRacing started out running 12.teens at 118 on DR's. He went to slicks and got his 60's down to the low 1.4s, and he picked up 10 mph in the 1/8th and carried 9 of it through the back half. All on the same engine combo and tune, he just got it to hook. He runs 10.60's @ 127. He has a very basic 347 build. I cant begin to express how poorly my car hooks right now, but i appreciate the feedback.
