I didn't buy new pads because I got some used, with a lot of meat on them, I just sanded them don so they would be nice and even. The rotors were brand new, and now I can still see some cross-hatching on the edge of the rotor.
I have an adjustable prop valve, that I tuned down a little because in the snow the rears would lock up first, and the back of the car would slide out. I know the rear brakes are working because the rotors are now polished (I can see reflections in them) and they squeak a little when I stop (I didn't put any anti-noise compound on the pads yet)
Are my brakes just not adjusted properly? I'f I try to lock them up, I just stop REALLY fast. I don't think I am going fast enough when I test it.
Like I said, I stop incredibly fast.
