I'm in the process of installing a new audio system and redoing my interior in my 93 GT. I removed the dash and interior last week and it has been running just fine until yesterday. I was running errands and at one point the car would not start. I could hear the fuel pump running when I turned on the ignition and all of the other electrical stuff worked but it would not turn over. Waited about 10 minutes and it fired right up. I ran another errand, went to start it up and same problem, but this time had to get it jumped for it to start. At this point decided to head straight home to look into it but halfway home, while driving on back streets in case it broke down, it started to stumble and misfire. It was idling a little bit rough and as soon as I would step on the gas it would bog down, sputter, and almost die. Had it towed home, pulled out the battery and it is reading exactly 12 volts with a digital multimeter connected between the positive and negative posts. Any suggestions on where else to look? Could the alternator or its voltage regulator be going out?
