My starter dosn't bolt up to my safty bellhousing?

I have a Mcloed scattershield which has been a nightmare for me cause nothing seems to work with it (clutch fork, bolt holes, headers) now it the starter. One of the bolts holes for the starter is too far away and I could only get one bolt in it. Is there a speical starter I need for this peice? Anybody with this what are you running for a starter.

You have to look at it this way: the shield has two pairs of holes and not 4 holes. Does that make sense? The starter can only go bolt in two ways and not 4 different ways. Those holes are there depending on what flywheel you are running. If I remeber correctly, for a 157 tooth flywheel use the starter hole closest to the top and furthest from the bottom. Good luck.

I don't have four holes there is 2 thats it. I've talked to a few places and it seems that mine didn't have all the hole drilled out so I'm gonna drill my own.

I would be very concerned in that case. If the holes you drill are off even a little bit then the starter will grind the flywheel. If the backing plate has hole then I suppose you could go off of that but then you still need to weld or put nuts inside the bell to retain the starter. My advice is send it back!!

I think I'm gonna take a chance. Everything is installed and I don't want to turn back now, but thanks for your advise. I'll let you know how it turns out. has anyone else run into this problem?

Yeah it worked but my sway bar hits the altenator so I have to get different endlinks. Its one task after another
