my suspension needs work, need some opinions please

ok, heres the deal. i have a stock suspension and i really want a firmer ride and better handling. however, im on a really tight budget. i know i need springs, so i was thinking ford B or C springs, or maybe if i can find some cheap/used H&R SS springs, those would be ideal. then i would need CC plates just to be on the safe side. im not looking for anything top of the line, as long as all the parts do their job and last. the shocks/struts aren't necessary, but i would love to firm up the ride. i was thinking some bilsteins or the non adjustable Tokico HPs (i think they're called). any help is good, and any input is appreciated. ebay is my new best friend

You can buy the Mach 1 or Bullitt kit which contains springs and shocks. These kits are are very affordable, and will likely get you what you want. I believe Tokico makes the shocks for both of these kits, but I am not 100% sure.

i totally forgot about those kits. which do you think will be better quality? i cant stress enough that i want a very firm ride with as little body roll as possible

I have found my setup to be very ideal on both the budget as well as what you are talking about. I would suggest springs, but definately do the shocks/struts at the same time as you will find your stockers will blow out quickly, and get some lcas. With just doing these three things, you will notice quite a difference

The bullit springs I think are C springs but they aren't very low. I went with a set of 200$ eibach prokit springs wich droped my car 1.5 to 1.75 and has a great soft ride (till you hit some rough roads then it bruises your kidneys ) I went with the mach 1 shocks and struts which are tokico and the eibachs...Also bought some steeda cc plates but you don't need them for this drop cus its not extreme.

Still non of this was cheap after install i was looking at almost 800$

Probably the Bullitt kit in that case. The Bullitt setup was designed with handling in mind more so than the Mach1 setup I believe.

If you go with the bullitt setup you are going to have problems finding it. Thats what I ran into, no one had it in stock, and it was on back order for two months . So I got whats in my sig. and man, I love it. I highly recommend it! Didnt need C/C plates either

I'd go with H&R SS's and Bilsteins. If you want used H&R SS's...I have some from my '03 GT that I sold last weekend. PM me if you're interested (I also have used tokico 5 ways).
