My wife recked her car and was ready for a new one. She finally came home and to my suprise it was a 91 gt conv. new paint, steel cowl,and new top with 100,000 stock . but then sweet sorrow hit. it was wrecked hard in the front. the ball joints were cracked and popping the a arms were loose the struts bent and it use to be white. but all together it is not bad for the 4,000 she gave for it. will post pics soon. Moral of the story buy the car for your wife instead of letting her have free run for it.


And one more thing anyone have a cluster or can recomend a solution. i repaced the speedo cable and it still flops around from 20 to 130

Based on your description, $4,000 sounds pretty steep for that car. A new top, paint, and hood don't really justify paying that much for an over-100k run-of-the-mill GT 'vert, IMO.

I dont think 4000 is bad for a unmolested bone stocker. Sucks that it was hit and the suspension is shot. Get some pics of it up here. That is pretty awesome she went out and got a fox on her own. Good luck with it. Oh and why are you going 130 if the ball joints are shot? lol

I think it's kinda steep. If you ask me, it sounds like a $2000-2500 car without seeing it.

Right off the bat you'll need to put money into it just to pass inspection. Any shop that passes a car with loose a-arms, busted BJ's, bent struts should not be inspecting cars.....and i wouldn't want them to pass me either if that's my car. It's too dangerous.
