Mystery Machine is worse than I thought

As most of you know I was gonna try to band-aid my car. I was gonna throw in some CD 2 Quiet stuff and see if it quieted it down. I fixed the vac lines that needed replaced and fired it up. I seen my low coolant light was on so I figured I better check that out. My coolant was pretty low and I couldn't figure out why. I dumped what I had left in a jug which was almost full. It kept going low. (1st clue something was off) I said I'll change the oil and worry about this later. I loosened the drain pan bolt and it started dripping clear water. I thought oh **** thats not good (2nd clue things were gonna get bad real fast). Pulled the plug and SURPRISE gray watery oil. I found out where my anti-freeze was going

I'm back to the drawing board. I'm most likely gonna buy a used engine and swap in it for now. The way things are going the BB won"t be done for a while might as well get a cheap used engine and enjoy my car.

My Ram is top priority right now though so it will be after thats done.




(I'll update the ram thread so y'all know whats going on with that)

That does suck man. Why not do the swap with a used engine first, and then focus on the ram. Doesnt sound like the ram will be done anytime soon, and an engine swap could be rather quick and easy in the MM.

Because the Ram has been down since July. The borough is bitching cause its not inspected and all that jazz. The code enforcer guy went to school with my dad and said he would cut us a break on it till I got the engine back in. Plus I miss my truck. That and i got parts all over my house lol. My mom keeps saying if we didn't have truck parts on that chair we would have more room to sit ha ha. It needs done.

I can't do the swap here. Its gonna come down to the car gets towed to the local tow shops owner's house. I do it there or I pay someone to do it. My inspection guy knows somebody that does engine swaps. He was suppose to get me a price. I'm to the point I'd kinda rather pay somebody to have it done and get it over with. If I do it I'll be waiting another 3 years lol



Oh and the shop got to the truck block so hopefully the ram will be done soon

start looking for a explorer motor from the JY..many have had good luck....swap your go fast parts on it.......ready to go...

i hate to hear that...i had an oil pressure problem with my car last year and every time i changed my oil it got worse, but there were no signs other than the oil pressure gauge...then one day i lost all oil pressure at the top of 3rd gear...kaboom...
