I have this old 04 Vert, with the upgraded but OE stereo (cd changer) and there is an issue with strange sounds coming out of the rear drivers side speakers....
It only happens when it rains... or has been raining. Yeah, I have had some leakage issues on that side....after it dries out for a few days it stops...
The sound is a loud, bass "pop" about every 10 seconds... or some static "ocean wave" type sound....
Turned volume down, sound persists...
shut unit off... still happening.
Turned ignition off, car in park, key out of ignition.... still happens for a little while as I sit there.... eventually stops...
So, what's up with this guy? Surely I am not the only one who has had this problem....
I can probably disconnect the speaker, that's the next plan of attack.... or see if it works with the battery unhooked.....
