My mechanic just replaced the Power Steering pump on my '65 289 mustang. The car is a early 54 (Built in April of 65). He simply replaces the pump and bolted back on the reservoir and pulley and remounted the pump. Now the belt is too large and will not engage the pump. I went to NPD and bought each possible PS Belt but still none fit. Any suggestions I want to use OEM parts and tm being pushed to using a belt for another year mustang.
