Sorry grady for not giving you more info.

Why that cam i have herd so many good things about AMS cams i thought that would be the best one to go with. Also i dont have the time to put one in my self with 70 hour work week and a 3 month old baby. So that is the only place that i know to take it, that is close to me its about a 45 min drive.

The N-21 they said they could put in with no problems and it would make the same power as the N-41.

WOW

It does look like you got a lotta stuff on your plate

I wasn't tryin to find fault with your cam choice

Just curious about why they said:

The N21 was a go
and
The N41 was a no go

Is it a pv clearance thing or what

I have no clue they would not go in to great detail about it. they just said it would not work. SO the thing now that i am asking about is, Should i go with the 21 and have them do it for the 1200 or am i getting ripped? I can not do it my self i do not have the time with family and work.

Ok just got off the phone with AMS what they would do is put the cam in no springs no rockers no nothing extra other then gasket and oils and stuff i guess. They said labor was $720.

so that means i am paying $300 for the cam and another $180 for all the extra stuff.???

If I understand you right your saying 720 total for labor.

Let's say you make $20 dollars an hour. 720 dollars divided by $20 gives you 36 hours that you would need to work (full-time hours) to get that amount of money and that is just for labor! You could do the swap in 4x less time on your own time. Just pace it out...no need to do it in one weekend. Just when you get time. Take off the intake one day...down the line...remove the accessories...etc...etc.

$180 for just gaskets and oil is on the high side, even with top notch quality parts.

If you want it done right and in the time frame AFM would be a good choice. I run the N91 cam and love it...can't wait to step up to the N112 later this year.

it comes with springs on it.

as for rockers i have no clue yet.

here is the details of what it came with

# Assembled heads with valves, springs, locks, guideplates, and 3/8" rocker studs
# 61cc combustion chamber design makes more power
# 2.02" intake/1.60" exhaust valves for low and top end power
# Capable of supporting .540" lift cams without flycut pistons
# Factory accessories mount in stock locations
# Accepts most OEM and after market intakes, OEM exhaust manifolds, and major brand headers
