I drove it for awhile with out the blower.........All I can say is there's nothing like adding a little boost! What a difference it makes. I highly recommend it if you can afford it.

This is where you have to get the right pistons for down the road if you add boost later. I got inverted dome and had the shop cut a little off the top on the flat part to drop the compression even more. The cost of cutting the pistons is not much. I already had my heads... but now they offer them with bigger chambers so you wouldn't have to do this. If you are going to add boost I would buy parts to keep the compression low. If I wasn't adding boost I wouldn't. So you kind of have to decide ahead of time what you are going to do. I am at 9:1 comp right now.
