How do you know it's not an F cam?

My stock cam has a couple of characters that I can't make out and 03.

Oh yeah, mine is not all scratched up and eaten out like yours either.

Good point. The cam does look like it was installed with 0 endplay and a bit too tight.

My B cam didn't have any markings on it.

It's tough to tell from the angle in the second pic. Which of these 3 does it most look like?

Well its a roller cam for sure, you could mic it and put it on some v blocks and use a indicator and some trig to find out the geometry of it. Good luck on that.

You could tie a rope to it and use it as a boat anchor, or use it to prop open your hood/trunk/hatch at a car show...

Even if it is an alphabet cam, a lot of "custom" cam grinders use alphabet cam blanks or re-tooled alphabet cams and pass them off as "custom" grinds. Since you don't know what it is, it looks like it was installed with 0 endplay, and the lobes are probably knicked to hell from it not being stored right or lubed, why don't you toss it into a garbage pail instead of risking it or mismatching a combo? Just my .02

Personally I'm waiting to accumulate a few more cams before I plant a cam garden.
