Does anyone know what the stereo specs are for a 2010 Nav equipped GT? Is it the Shaker 500 system or something else? Is Sync included as well, I assume it is? Tried doing a search but came up empty.
It is a Shaker 500 and yes it has Sync. The NAV works great and the display makes the car. Even the sync gets my voice almost every time. The phone syncs and works great. Overall the entire 8 inch screen is great.
The standard 6x8 speakers suck. I changed mine out for Polk Monitors MM571's from Crutchfield. The system now sounds awesome. Hope this helps. Oh the car is awesome. Anything else let me know. Good luck.

Thanks JD. I ordered my GT 2 weeks ago, and am waiting very impatiently. I hear it may be another 4-6 weeks. How tough was the speaker swap? How is the bass from the 8's?

When you say the "standard 6x8 speakers suck" - which ones are you referring to? The non-shaker 500 speakers? Which speakers are 6x8 - the ones in the doors above the 8" subs? Was this a plug-and-play swap?
I also changed my speakers out to Polk's. I even changed the subs to Kicker 2 ohm versions. You have to do some cutting and fitting, but they have much better sound then the stock subs
The Base is not bad from the subs. Changing the speakers were not that bad if you have done this before. The backs are much harder then the doors. Crutchfield has free instructions if you order from them and are very helpful. Here are the exact ones I have and they sound awesome. I may add a sub in the trunk next. Yes, Crutchfield gives you the adapters for free. So you unplug the old speaker wires and plug the adapter and attach to the crossover that comes with the polks.
