Navigation or Video screen pics

I was thinking about going for one of those LCD screens with DVD and Navigation too. But I was leaning toward the flip out kind. I wasn't sure how an in dash one like that would actually fit (but since I don't even have my car yet i wouldn't know what the radio/ac/heat controls are located.)

I'm looking at this one http://www.pricegrabber.com/p__Pion...D_with_Monitors,__7119983/search=pioneer+avh/ and seems like it would be the best one for the money

I would have no idea on how to install it though because i am not what you would call good with cars.

If anyone else has any other pictures or a screen they have or like, or any idea on ease of install, let me know.

Then kenwood, the pioneer is actually cheaper now,but my buddy wanted a double din non flip out.

I had an Eclipse AVN5435 installed in my GT. Had it installed by an authorized dealer and it looks like the car came with it. It cost me $1700 installed and worth every penny. This is a picture taken during the install.

Azguy,

this is a silly question, but where does the music cd go into? Install looks great!!

There are selectable menu items around the outside of the unit. Press CD or DVD and the screen folds out. If you pressed CD then any CD in the unit is ejected and you can insert a new one. The screen then folds back down, The same for DVD. By the way, the DVD will work with the car moving, but for obvious reasons, it is not recommended. The Navigation on this unit is outstanding. One more thing, if you buy one, be sure you buy from an authorized dealer otherwise no warranty. On the Eclipse web site there is a 800 number where you can call for an authorized dealer. When you call the number, you are automatically connected to a dealer. I called 2 authorized dealers and got 2 quotes for the installed price; one was $1750 and the other $1700. These are great prices, especially when you see that on EBAY they are going for almost as much and, of course, not including inatallation and not from an authorized dealer

Azguy,

Also, did you install different speakers or amp? If not, how does it sound with the other factory pieces?

I did not do the install myself, but had 6 new Eclipse speakers installed: 1 in each door, 2 in the rear deck, and 2 10" sub-woofers in the trunk. Also had one Eclipse 2 channel and one Eclipse 4 channel amp installed. The amps are installed on the underside of the rear deck and are accessable from the trunk. Had a custom sub-woofer box installed in the trunk. The sound is really something, especially if you like booming bass. As i said before, the Eclipse head unit installed was $1700. The rest of my system (speakers, amps, custom enclosure for subs, and install) cost $1600.
