Who has before and after Mileage when one of these systems went in place???

There is a nice Edelbrock system for about 2k. I thought it might reduce my gas mileage and provide better driveability and power.

The car is a 1965 with a 1971 302-2bbl. Just rebuilt to stock specs (a slightly more aggresive CAM than stock).

C4 Auto
2.73 Rear Gears.

Average Gas Mileage 16-18 on regular unleaded.

I also have a 1970 Mach 1 351C 4-V with a 5 Speed Tremec. It only gets 13-15 but I drive it harder too.

you can buy complete take off 5.0 maf systems as cheap as 200.00, it will run better than an edelbrock, another option is the holley commander 950 TBI, which bolts on to any 4bbl intake, it is a TBI but works excellent, you can find the older analog systems for under 400.00 and they tune right from the drivers seat, I just sold one, not quite as fuel efficient as sequential efi but easy and cheap, the one I sold was a 670cfm unit and I picked up about 25-30 hp/tq and 4 mpg's over my best carb.

You'll be wanting to INCREASE your MPG Too funney! I was going to say the take off 5.0 system. Saw TONS of this stuff at the Columbus show and the All Ford show is coming up quick at Carlisle. THat would be the time to find a decent 5.0 take off set up.
ALso, here is a link to a tech article. http://www.mustangsplus.com/tech/efi/index.html
