I took the 05 home from the shop last night, and knew I needed some gas. Needle was on E, and the message center said 35 miles to empty. I was having some fun with the car, so that number was dropping quickly. This was at night and I had my dash set to blue.

When I got down to either 15 or 10 miles to empty, the gas gauge turned from blue to red! I thought that was pretty cool. I had never let the car get that low before, so I never saw that. I guess it's the "super dumbass" feature for those who ignore the needle on E and the message center telling you to get gas .

Also, I stopped and filled the tank up. It took 15 gallons. That's all these cars hold? That's pretty sad. No wonder the gas gauge moves as fast as the tach does.

That's pretty slick Sal... I wish my car had that feature...

Now - how many people have discovered the false bottom in the cup-holder?

theres a cover on the rear cup holder. pull up the bottom of the cupholder, and it goes deeper, for a super sized drink.

Amazing!! You mean all this time I have been torturing myself on the way to work? Driving with my elbow cocked slightly upwards while I shift?

Yeah me too until I read someone's post on here about that! Thing is, why would Ford spend the extra dime to put that piece of plastic in to begin with? I can see that getting axed during an MRC.
