Need 302 Advice

hi
i have 88 302 engine after rebuild ( 2k mile ) 9.4 cr with e7te 62 cc heads
new berings, rings , oil pump and Pistons SUM-17302-00
stalth intake 4150 dp holley msd and HOK-6901HKR (1 5/8)
this cam CCA-31-218-2.
i think i have somthing like 270 hp fwhp .

i wanted more power 400 -430 fwhp

i dont know what to do .

1. replace the heads + cam + roller rokers ?
2. now repace the heads + cam + roller rokers / save more mony and buy dart 347 shortblock and use this parts
3. supercharger like v 1\2 or novi
4. save mony and go with 408 engine
this is all the option that i think i have


what r u thinking ?

If the shortblock is fresh and done right, no reason you shouldn't use it.

You should also stick to talking about rwhp, since in 99% of cases that's the only number it's possible to test for.

If it were my car, i'd put a good h/c/i setup on it and convert it back to fuel injection.
Then when i had more money add a vortech.
Starting over from scratch with a stroker is going to be very expensive, and the parts you put on a 302 in most cases will be undersized for a 347 or 408.

They sell top end kits that put together a H/C/I combo that make great power for the money you will shell out. check out Trick Flow they have great combo's that make power as is, and they will make tons of power under pressure. If i did it all over again i would have bought a matched top end kit guaranteed to make power.
