So my engine has 155,000 miles on it as the trans....brand new distributor, plugs, wires, fuel filter, k&n intake, & march underdrive pullies....as for the trans, brand new clutch kit, and for exhaust off road x, and flowmater 40's. Im giving all these details because I need to know if any are causing the problem I am having. My engine is "bogging" in first gear, basicly very little power, in second gear it has more power, and third its "flat" or "bogging" again. No clue if this is an engine problem, trans problem, or gearing problem. Stock cobra block came with 240hp and 280 torq......I have few and minor mods with what I listed above, just sort of confused how I feel like im below stock in horsepower and torque when I am from a dead stop to 4th gear . Any help or suggestions would be appreciated

Is it a constant drain in power or is it a stutter?

I would call it a stutter in certain gears....most noticable in first.

Have you checked all vacuum connections? Can you determine when the fuel filter was last changed? Is it throwing any codes?

Havnt checked any of the vacuum connections, I changed the fuel filter when I did the tune up....because this loss of power problem was going on, so I did the tune up thinking it would help, and it didnt. So I did the fuel filter thinking it was causing it but that didnt fix it either. check engine light goes on and off from time to time but have never had it diagnosed because I figured it was the fact I dont have cats and I never got MIL iliminators. One other thing that has been going on is while idleing the car will start to rev by itself around 2500 RPM for maybe 15 seconds and then the RPM's drop suddenly. While the car is reving by itself the check engine light flashes.
