I only posted this here because I didn't get a good response in talk. what websites? also i live in ny, shipping should be less than item... aftermarket and less than $100 are good... thanks in advance!

I have used fenders hoods and nose pieces form Certi-fit (sorta-fits) and from 5.0 resto. I'm convinced that all those cheapo replacement parts are stamped out in the same factory in China. The fenders fit like ass and the nose pieces are hit and miss. I wont use them if I can halp it. Its too frustrating trying to get them to line up halfway decent. I would stick to junkyard OEM stuff. Even if I have to pound out a dent or 2, they will fit alot better in the long run.

I had the same problem finding parts and trying to avoid shipping charges that exceed the cost of the fender. Try car-parts.com to locate a junkyard with one near you. I find most of my used parts that way. Then you have to make a drive to pick them up. Be sure to call and get a description of the condition. My problem was that I needed an entire front clip and nobody had that. Seems most Mustangs have damaged front ends and don't get hit from the rear much. So frontend parts are scarce and pricey even used.

When I wrecked my 88 LX the parts car I bought had Taiwan fenders on it already. They fit very poorly. Huge gap at the top of the door gap and MUCH hassle to get them to fit the OEM front cover. I have within the last few months stripped out three 4 cyl cars, an 87, an 89, and a 90. All were in great shape front end wise. The 87 fenders were especially cherry so they are now on the 88. Wow, what a difference! There is no substitute for OEM Ford body parts! Gaps perfect, mates to front cover perfect! Sold the 89's but I still have the 90's plus the sucky Taiwans for sale CHEEP! Got some decent doors and hoods & a good 90 hatch complete too. If anyone in the central FL area needs some front end parts, get with me.
Used OE Ford stuff beats the snot out of ANY offshore crap! Been there, seen that! :flag:
