Putting a timing cover back on my car and I need to know what installs in the two holes circled. The one on the right obviously is on the side of the cover. Thanks in advance everyone!
I don't think I had that one on the left on my car. The wire harness and possibly a ground wire bolt to the one on the side.
Huge pic so I linked it instead of posting it direct.

Edit: Just thought of something... That one on the left may be there for the crank sensor on the Explorers.

The big one on the side is definately where the battery cable goes. Not sure what the other one is for, but if it doesn't go all the way through, just ignore it.

Agreed with Kurt, don't worry about the extra parts. The same timing cover is also used on the 1996-01 Ford Explorer and 1997-01 Mercury Mountaineer, so the extra bolt hole is likely used on those engines. As long as it fits and has all the bolt holes you need, I wouldn't worry about the extras.
