Need a new hood with 3" more clearance

I spent a lot of time and money last year bulding and installing a 408 stroker in my '67 fastback....all in with Air Gap manifold and Edelbrock carb and a 1" spacer.
Now I can't close the hood! I went with a flat single plane manifold and a Holley 675 without the spacer and was able to close the hood but this engine needs the dual plane and Edelbrock 750 sitting on the shelf.
Can anyone advise me on a hood that will fit on my car that will give another 3"'s (minimum) of hood clearance....I would like to stay with a steel hood if possible!

did you use a drop aircleaner base? that should give you an extra inch or so

also, another option might be adjustable motor mounts to drop it down a bit.

If it were me, I'd go with a traditional reverse teardrop hood. It'll give you the clearance you need and you won't see one on every other Mustang like you do with the cowl hoods.
