i need a pic of the bottom side of the GT manual tranny, near the clutch area. i have a hole near there on the bottom. looks like a normal hole (as in it should be there), but it looks like there used to be a washer or bolt there too. there is a 1/2 round scuff, similar to if you had a bolt there. the problem is, it also looks like part of it broke off. i want to compare this to another tranny. i have extra trans noise, like something chattering inside. if this part broke off, then that may be the chatter. maybe i am paranoid too!! i wanted to drop it off today for some more warranty work, but it was raining and all you could hear was the water spraying along the car, and not the noises/clanks you needed to hear. so monday it is going in. i decided to put it up and look underneath to self diagnose some of the problems. this one came up as i was looking it over. any help is appreciated!

pic off of BMR, not sure if it's a manual tranny tho. Did you hit somethine recenlty, or otherwise do something to make you think something broke off? Sounds like you might just be a little paranoid, but better safe than sorry, right?

i need more of a close-up. maybe i will go out later and take a pic of my tranny, then someone can look at theirs and compare. the noise has been happening for a while...."normal". its getting worse, i looked under and saw this. i had a HORRIBLE tech work on my car for previous warranty work, so i am not ruling out anything on this car. i did not hit anything, but the way it has the look of a washer that used to the installed makes me worry.

Can somebody point out on that picture where the two bolts that were missing on some cars are?

2006 mustangs should not be included in the missing bolts problem. should be fixed on the assembly line by now.....but here you go!

Then what else would rattle just on start up when cold. Also when cruising at 60-70mph?

i also have a rattle, but not exactly sure where from. i looked under the car, and the heat shields above the cats are pretty flimsy. that is my guess as of right now, but we will see on monday when i drop my car off at the dealer...
