Hello there, I was wondering what others have done to remedy the rattle that seems to come from these pipes. I made the mistake of buying a barely used BBK catted X-pipe. I like the sound of my exhaust, but it has developed a really bad rattle a couple weeks after I installed it. I've since read about the rattles common with BBK pipes.
It seems to me that the internals of the cats are the problem. Some say it's the design of the X chamber, but I have a BBK offroad X-pipe that I've swapped over several times now while trying to diagnose the problem, and it does not rattle at all. I was hoping to hear what most have found the issue to be, because I would rather fix the pipe instead of purchasing a new one.
