I've had my 4.10's installed for about 6 months now...and ever since I've had them they've whined a bit...especially when I let off the throttle....I know that this was a problem w/ the install....but I had an old friend of mine who was a mechanic do it, and to complain about a free wouldn't get me anywhere....so I've dealt with the noise...my exhaust pretty much drowns it out anyways....now for the question -
What are my options on fixing this?
a. Would a normal mechanic be willing to fix the gears for a cheaper price than a usual install?
b. Is the rear pinion set ruined because of the use after a bad install?
c. Would it be more worth my while just to beef up the rear end because I'm going to have more power down the road anyways?
I'm sorry about the long post, but I'm at a stand still with my mods right now until I fix the little problems w/ my car that bug me....if I go to a built rear end I would need advice on the best setups out there that could handle 5-600 rwhp....cuz I'm going to swap out the block in the future and up the boost

i agree with what BooWFO said and defenately weld the axle tubes and TQ boxes if planning on more power
