I need advice from you guys regarding moving the stuck on door side mouldings that are on my 2000 Mustang GT.
The car has original paint and has been garage kept - mouldings have been on since day one. It is now a show car and likely has roughly 75+ coats of Zaino, 7 or 8 Klasse AIO, and the same in Klasse SG. All products have been applied by hand.

The mouldings are the factory issue colour coded pieces shown in the following pics.:

My questions are:
1) Will there be an obvious mark where the moulding is if I remove it?

2) Will the paint be faded under the moulding?

3) How do I do it; dental floss behind the moulding?

Please keep in mind that this is a show car that does compete in shows that are judged on paint quality.
Any suggestions would be appreciated as there is a big show this weekend, and I was going to remove them tomorrow.

....

Well i just removed them from my 2000 Black GT and it was easy to do ... and you cant even tell. p.s. all i did is get a hold of the edge of them and pull them off ... if you pull down and away all the tape comes off ... if not just use your finger nail.... nothing to worry about really

I read an ad for a Mustang for sale the other day, and the seller actually felt his Mustang was worth a lot more because it had those "rare" factory body side moldings. :hail2:

Ok, after a lot of follow up work and paint prep early Sat. morning, the mouldings are off and it looks perfect. In fact, took first place in a large show yesterday. :)
Here is it looks now:

The Klasse AIO and Klasse GG with P21S Concours Carnuba did the job perfectly.
