I'd like to thank you in advance for any help and input. I have my engine out doing some work and I noticed that on 6 spots on the block there is a small crack going from the water jacket to the head bolt hole. I will attach pictures to show you. I don't necessarily have a machine shop to bring it ton in order to get it checked further.

My questions are, is my block completely junk? Is this common? Am I safe to reassemble?

Thank you again for your time.

I’m saying you’re screwed. The crack is this visible w/o torque, imagine how big those cracks spread when there 75ft/ lbs pulling on thebolt hole.
just my opinion.

I was afraid of that. I appreciate the fast feedback.

That can be welded. Not sure it's worth it though. Blocks are cheap, but the machine work isn't.

Not to pile on, but find another block - this is junk. Maybe not totally unfixable junk if you have the resources, but stock blocks are plentiful if you need a base, and if resources aren't an issue then here's your chance to upgrade.

I don't mind the pile on to be honest. And it seems to be the consensus. More leverage for the wife to read

You are probably better off with another block, even with the machine work.

My original issue was overheating and blowing alot of white smoke out of the right side. No coolant or oil mixed. I also wasn't getting the proper boost from the supercharger. I attributed the over heating to the old water pump. Could this of been my lost boost issue as well? Or totally unrelated?

I was adding the studs to get a tighter clamp
