I have a stock 93lx 5.0 5spd and was going to swap the engine out with a stock 93 Cobra complete engine and was wondering if I need to buy the correct computer and MAF to make the 24#ers work. What are my options with the stock computer and stock mass air meter. I have heard that the stock ecm is better than the cobra unit? Any help would be great.

Matt all you need to do is buy a meter calibrated for 24# injectors and use your stock computer.

What size, type, and brand do you recommend? I had a C & L 76mm with a 19# tube give to me. Could I use my stock sensor and buy a 24 # tube or will it be better to buy a sensor calibrated for 24#.
Thanks for your help!

Just purchase a maf calibrated for the 24lb injectors and reuse your current computer.. sell the cobra computer and meter and sell the c&l too

But if you like the c&l meter you can just purchase/swap in the 24lb sample tube to match the injectors and your good.

word of advice if you use the C&L use the screen from the stock maf tube, I have that setup and it would not run until I did that. The screen help the air as it goes through the tube.

In N/A form the C&L will work fine, use the stock air box it works best with it, i had better luck with out the screen. If you have a little surge, slowly clock the meter, I had good luck with the sensor at 11-12 oclock.

Just call Lee @ C&L and buy the 24# tube, they are under $30.

Thanks, did you have to slot the holes on the maf or is there enough slop from the factory?
