need alot of help with my new 99 cobra

i just baught a 99 cobr. first thing i did was buy a tuner <diablo predator> i think i set the rev limiters to high the call is fully stock only thing on it right now is cold air induction , need to no what the limiters shoud be set at for a stock cobra. also looking to get new gears for the rear and was wondering if there is any truth to the fact that cobras rev out higher and i should go with a bigger gear then 390s

No higher than 6800 rpm(what is stock) otherwise you will do damage to the valve train as the stock springs and all cant handle 7-7500 rpms..

Gearing for a NA car would be 4.10's or 4.30's for an IRS cobra.

well

Keep the rev limiters at 6800, no reason to rev past that. I don't understand what you are talking about in 3rd gear thing.

Yes you have an 8.8 rear end and need the standard ford 8.8 gears even though it's an IRS. checkout svtperformance . com and read the FAQ section on your car. Then AFTER READING THAT, if you still have any questions, ask away.
