I think even a blinking led light in the defrost vent would make them think twice....but I will probly just go to a stereo shop that my friend works at and get him to hook me up with a sweet deal

go to autozone pick up there 4 channel remote system, where you can hook up any 4 things, lights, horns, neons, etc. with the remote and hook one up to a train horn, of just something reallly loud....cheap, and effective, and funny at the same time. or if you do also get an alarm im sure you can do with the horn also.

Hey Roland actually the Viper alarms are the best of the DEI line
and will protect your car very well. You will need power door locks though.
Since you care alot about your car you should seriously consider a
Viper alarm for your mustang like the Viper 5000.
I have a Viper 791XV on my STI and I like it.
It even has a built in turbo timer also pretty cool!

theyll just throw an actuator in the door that way it unlocks from the remote. its not a big deal at all. i just replaced mine about 2 weeks ago. took all of 15 min start to finish.

I have been doing car audio and alarms for over ten years and have always liked the Viper series from DEI. Cliffords are great too, but if you open the Clifford and Vipers you will see the same internals, so save a few bucks and get a Viper. I have a low end 350HV with trunk and door lock option and have never had a problem with them. If you dont want the power locks added and want the starter disable hooked up it should only run you $200 installed or less. In Maui we charged $200, so its probaly cheeper in the mainland.

yep, about 15 min start to finish on one of the cheesy aftermarket actuators with 2 wires.i spent more time bending the actuator rod than anything.

I wanted to get the Viper 2 way but the damn blue remote is freaking HUGE! That's my only complaint. Get one with the microwave motion detector too. Just someone walking close to the car will set off a warning. Should scare the teenage joyriders away. Then put on your own fuel pump and spark cut-offs with well hidden switches to slow down real burglers.

Will it scare them away or just make them try to set it off? Once they know its there, I would bet that they will be setting it off every time they go by. The best alarm if your close by and can check on it would be a silent alarm that lets you know by remote that it has been activated. Might want to check for that option when looking for one. A remote pager with capabilities to turn off external siren.
