I have a 77 coupe and am putting a gt 40 short block with ported 68 302 heads. the headers I have are smaller than the exhaust ports on the heads.
does anyone know who makes a larger primary tube header for this. will fox body shorties fit ? also my headers have an oval shape my heads are square shape.

How freekin big did they open up the exhaust ports on those stock castings??
I have a similar problem, especially since I'm going with the 7.0 liter engine soon, and I'm going to end up making a set of 1 3/4" or 1 7/8" headers.
I'm thinking about running some equal length shorties, as those with a 3" H-pipe would fit a lot easier than full length headers, but I doubt fox style shorties will fit in a II, you'd have to make a set.

If the search functions working.

And that part of the data base wasn't lost in the crash.

The 1 5/8" primaries on Hooker Super Comps should be sufficient.
