You can reuse the cross member and the drive shaft. You need to measure your bell housing because c-4's come in large bell housing and small. Large you can use the larger converter with a 164 tooth. A stock aod or aodE flex plate will work if its a large housing it's also a 50oz what you need. Get a good shifter also. Case fill means that your dipstick is mounted inside the case. Pan fill mounts on the side of the pan, in the pan itself. Make sure you count the splines before ordering a converter

You want a 70 or newer C4, case fill, small bell and then the 157 tooth 50 oz. flex.
And as with all trans questions I send everyone to click click racing forums.
General Click Click Tech - Click Click Racing Forums
Check out the stickys there for more C4 info, and why I say 70 or newer.

If you are starting from scratch, either large or small will work.

My 79 Capri came stock with a C4 and had a large 168 tooth flexplate etc.

You need to match the balance to the engine, (50oz in your case), and then make sure you have the matching block plate (to locate the starter), flexplate converter and trans. The large flexplate is also used on the aod.

The 68 trans may work but valvebody upgrades will be easier with the later ones, as already noted.
