Most Already know of my setup 5.1 .020 bored aluminum Block, Forged Internals, bbk headers, bbk underdrive pulleys, bbk t/a, o/r x pipe, flowmaster catback, 3.73 gears. I am now looking for a set of cams for this setup. Also, i plan on staying N/A. I see threads on VT and Comp. Need some input on which is better of the two and also if you already have them chime in on what Numbers they gave you. Going to P&P heads later on down the road if that helps any?

Didnt you already post this?? Do some searches. There are millions of threads on this exact question.

VT stage 1s would be my first choice and Comps as my second. You might want to invest in some taller gears.

So ComPCams 268's are better than VT stage 1 or 2?? The motor is gonna be kept N/A and i'm trying to figure out what setup to go with i seen CompCams 274's is that too agressive?

With a nice built shortblock, why go with wuss cams like the VT Stage Is? Yeah, they can make OK numbers, but why put a set of mild cams on a fully built block? With more aggressive cams and ported heads later on, you should make some killer numbers now and even better down the road when you get them ported.

Depending on piston to valve clearance or your specific shortblock (depends on piston dish), don't short-change yourself and get a set of Comp XE270AHs, VT Stage II, or call Tim @ T&J and see what kind of custom grind you could get from him. IIRC, his custom cams aren't any or much more than an off-the-shelf set.

Oh, and BTW ditch the 3.73s. They're killing my times with 270s. I'm going with 4.10s or 4.30s before the tracks open next spring.

I figure I'll answer him on the 4th or 5th time he asks this on here or the depot.
