I am about to have my 5.0 EFI motor rebuilt for my 66 convertible mustang. Used for spirited daily driving and freeway cruising... emphasis on efficiency and economy over power. Can anyone recommend a camshaft??

the builder is recommending the Ford Racing E303 (282 deg, [email protected],
0.498" int/exh lift... LSA=?)

The rest of my specs: It will have GT-40 alum heads, stock 1992 H.O. intake
and injectors, JBA shorties, .... I also have a Lentech AOD with Wide Ratio
gear set and 3:55 gears.

The stock motor actually had plenty of power for me... but I got a good deal on these GT40 heads for only a little more than rebuilding the stock heads. Therefore I thought I'd upgrade the motor a bit... however I don't want to sacrifice low end power, drivability and economy.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

im using a comps cam with .512 .533 lift and 220 duration with speed density and it runs good and actually doesnt surge at idle .got it at doug herberts in cherryville n.c. but you can probably find it cheaper somewhere else.my be a little agressive if you dont wont the lope sound but not to bad on my roller motor
