Ok, so I have not changed a clutch out for about 5 years and all the ones I have were on cars originally equipped with a manual transmission.
Look at the attached pics. The pressure plate is not touching the flywheel, there is a 1/4 or so gap. Is this normal? I think it is......because when you press the clutch, the clutch fingers are depressed and the outer frame of the pressure plate pushes against the flywheel creating a gap between the clutch, flywheel and pressure plate? Right?
Forgive me, I have never started from scratch before.
Remaining parts to order are ARP flywheel bolts (100-2801) and pressure plate bolts (150-2202 I think?) and I should be able to get started.
