I got my engine done. I am going to install it but I need a clutch. I was looking at a King Cobra HD clutch. Will that be strong enough? What would be a better clutch?

What did your engine dyno? Or how much power are you estimating?

Agreed ^^ (more info needed). You might want to step up to a CF, Spec, etc with what I saw in your sig........

Good luck.

I would go with something beefier than the King Cobra. Spend $100 more now and save yourself the headaches.

I used to run a SPEC Stg 2 when I ran stick (pro-shifted T-5) the car was going 11.80 N/A with 4.56's and never had problem, also ran king cobra before that but the KC was a lot more harsh on lauch, the car was less brutle and 60 ft'd better with the SPEC. I thought it was a nice piece. my $.02

Spec stage 2 or centerforce dual friction.

Centerforce wears out a little quicker than the spec, but its nicer on the drivetrain. Spec 2 is nasty. Ive had both. This is my 2nd centerforce in the car now. I change em once a year lol.

If you have a T-5 on the other side of the engine I don't suggest any hard hitting clutch. My stock T-5 went through hell and came back begging for more for about three years of powershfiting. I wasn't making your power though. A month after the Spec III install, (two weeks of break in) the input to countershaft teeth sheered each other off. However, the Spec III is a badass clutch, and works great with the TKO500.

I ran a CF dual friction, melted it, went to the spec and its unbelievable but its real harsh, now I'm back with the centerforce. I only get about a season out of the centerforce but it holds and grabs perfect right until it dies. I ran 11's on ponys and stock tires with my T5 and centerforce The spec just doesnt die. And its good for crazy multiple gear burnouts. I reccomend both.
