It's great having a place like this to come for info. I've been reading post for the last 2 hrs. I'm finishing up the details on my engine. I used the March serpentine belt conversion, a high volume water pump and a griffin 4 row aluminum radiator. The car has AC so there is a condenser in frount. There is
3 1/2" between the water pump and the radiator. I was planning on using an electric fan but I’m close on room for a large cfm fan. This is a driver/show car so I would like to keep the front of the engine as visible as possible. If I where to just put a fan on without a shroud would it stay cool enough.

I would recommend a shroud just because of my personal experience. It made all the difference in the world. I was pulling air "AROUND" the radiator and not through it. Now I can't get it to overheat seating in traffic.

The fans iskwezm recommended look really cool and they do have a shroud...
