Just picked up a 89 roller and the drivers door was sagging. I figured a striker bushing and new pins would fix it but nope. Pulled the fender and tried adjusting the hinges and have it lined up pretty good, but now even with the weather strip out the door will close flush but pop back open about 1/8th of a inch outwards like it has some play in it.. I tried adjusting the striker in the door jam so it's closer to the body but it's as far inward as it goes. At this point I'm assuming i need a new latch? I hate messing with anything body related and hope someone has some input on this. Thanks for any replies.

Help me to understand, did you replace the hinge pins and bushings? If so, did you get the oversized bushing type?

Adjust the strikers outboard until the door latches firmly without popping back open. That's what it sounds like your problem is, it's just not latching all the way. Latches very seldomly go bad. Usually their problem is getting stiff and locking up.

I'll try to help with the sagging, just need to know these things first.
