need help adjusting the tv cable

I did a search for the procedure to adjust the tv cable to the tranny and came up empty

any help will be appreciated

Try autozone .com go repair info then vehicle repair then year etc follow the steps to drivetrain then trans mission. Hope this helps.

I looked they really didn't have anything for me but thanks for the advice.

You don't really say, but if it is a transmission behind a 2.3, then it doesn't have a TV cable. That would certainly make it difficult to find instructions on adjusting it. hehe.
So whats the transmission doing wrong? Shift points and line pressure are controlled by the modulator valve. There is a kick down cable, and the adjustment for that is on the throttle body. you just flip a tab up, adjust it, then lock it down again.

funny you should mention it, I thought the kickdown cable and the tv cable were the same thing. ( my bad)

the tranny is running fine now I'm not for sure what happened but at first it seemed as if the shift points were way off. it would rev way up and then the tranny would catch and shoot like you had a tranny brake on. it was like launching off the line at the track.
