I'm at a loss on this one and need help...

Installed a Spec Stage II clutch this weekend and it went well until everything was back together and I tested her out.

Once you start the car, it's very difficult to put the car in gear, and once you get the car in gear, the tires spin with the clutch pushed in. (Car is on four jack stands right now) So it appears that the pressure plate is not releasing the clutch disc and this is causing the transmission shaft to still be spinning which accounts for the difficulty putting the car in gear when it's on. (No problems putting the car in gear when it's off.)

I've got an adjustable clutch cable, firewall adjuster and quadrant; so at first I thought it wasn't adjusted enough at the clutch fork. So I adjusted it some more to engage the clutch fork sooner, and same result...I ended up adjusting it to it's furthest point and took all of the slack out of the cable with the firewall adjuster and the clutch is still not being released completly.

At this point, it seems like the clutch disc is too thick and not allowing the pressure plate to fully release it from the flywheel.

Did anyone with a Spec Stage II have a similiar problem during their install? Is there something that I'm missing or not thinking about?

Just a thought, I'm not very clutch savvy buut.... How much engagement is there w/ the clutch pedal in? Maybe you should try your test out not on stands?
