Need help fast! Fixed head gaskets and now won't start

Installed new head gaskets, put car on #1 TDC, and it turns hard and uneven like its out of time, but only with the key. Turns free when I jump the engine solenoid with a screw driver. What could be wrong? Could I have gotten the valves too tight? I got it started once but it runs really rough, is missing and won't idle.

Did you remove the dizzy? Sounds an awful lot like the symptoms experienced when the dizzy is 180 out.

Reatap dizzy. Put engine TDC on compression stroke. (pull #1 spark plug and you should feel a good bit of air blowing on your finger as you approach top ead center). once their pull dizzy and put back in with the rotor stiking number 1 spark plug wire. Like mentioned above, maybe your valves. If your heads and rockers are stock, You couldnt have overtightened them
